Mr Cameron surprised some by backing Mr Miliband's calls for a public inquiry into phone hacking allegations during Prime Minister's question time.
David Cameron branded the allegations "appalling".
Ed Miliband said it was a "stain on British journalism".
Ed miliband also said Rebekah Brooks, the paper's former editor and now chief executive of its publisher News International, should "take responsibility & stand down."
Ed iliband said David Cameron hasn't shown leadership in any of this rotten scandal, but is instead tainted because of his relationsdhips with those who are the accused.
