Iran's state TV (Press TV) says separate but identical bomb attacks have killed a prominent Iranian nuclear scientist and wounded another in the capital. Iran today accused Israel and Western governments of mounting assassination attacks that killed one Iranian nuclear scientist and wounded another.
The separate attacks in the Iranian capital Tehran this morning targeted the scientists as they drove to work.
In both cases the men's wives were with them and were injured when motorcyclists attached bombs to their cars. The bombs were then triggered by remote control.
Iran's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, said at a press conference “undoubtedly the hand of the Zionist regime and Western governments is involved.” But he said the attacks will not stop Iran from continuing with its nuclear program.
